    PMKVY is the flagship of bellwether scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship(MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of the scheme is imparting industrial skills on youths for better livelihood. The Special Projects component of PMKVY envisages the creation of a platform that will facilitate trainings in special areas and/or premises of Government bodies, Corporates or Industry bodies, and trainings in special job roles not defined under the available Qualification Packs (QPs)/National Occupational Standards (NOSs). Special Projects are projects that require some deviation from the terms and conditions of Short Term Training under PMKVY for any stakeholder.

  • DDU-GKY – Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana

    DDU-GKY is mainly focusing on the specific age group from 15 to 35 years. This programme plays a crucial role in supporting the socio and economic programs of the government and making DIGITAL INDIA, SMART CITIES, START-UP-INDIA CAMPAINGS.   • DAY-NULM – Deendayal Antyodhaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission

    Reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner. In addition, the mission would also address livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.

  • TNSDC – TamilNadu Skill Development Corporation

    Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation was formed with a vision to transform the state into skill hub by skilling the youth and enhance their employability to match the expectations of the Industry. It is functioning as a Corporation under the Labour and Employment Department. TNSDC has been declared as the State Nodal Agency for Skill Development by the government. The TNSDC has identified Central / State Government Institutions and Agencies apart from the premier industrial houses for imparting short term skill development training programmes across the state. TNSDC aimed to ensure bench mark standards in skill training and to align with the National Standards.

  • Pudhu Vaalvu Project

    Pudhu Vaalvu Project is an empowerment and poverty implemented by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of Government of Tamil Nadu with World Bank assistance. The objective is to empower the poorest of the poor, the marginalized and the differently able and to promote sustainable livelihoods for them. The project follows the Community Driven Development (CDD) approach and has developed the poor and under privileged into the mainstream development process as well as made them decade, participate, implement and monitor their progress and development. Pudhu vaazhvu Project was implemented mainly for the poor people living in rural areas. Initially, it was named as “Vaazhnthu Kaativom Project”. After that it was renamed as “Pudhu Vaazhvu Project”. Pudhu Vaazhvu Project is an empowerment and poverty alleviation project implemented by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department of Government of Tamil Nadu with World Bank assistance.

  • SDIS-MES – Skill Development Initiative Scheme – Modular Employable Skill

    Short term driven modules introduced under the scheme of “ Skill Development Initiative – Modular Employable Skill” especially for school drop outs to acquire the skill within the short span. This scheme promotes flexible delivery schedule and multi entry and exists options. The age has to completed till 14 years. 565 courses are available and developed. The scheme is funded by the government and it will reduce the burden of the poor students.

  • ASDM – Assam Skill Development Mission

    This ASDM was under the control of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. The vision and mission of the programme is implement the skill training on unemployed youths and the delivery of skill become the meaningful employment. This mission is working under Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED). The aim of the ASDM is to create the sustainable skill eco system for providing the quality skill training and encourages the budding entrepreneurs also.
